Colorado looks to host 2015 ski worlds (AP)

The Colorado towns of Vail and Beaver Creek have made a joint bid to host Alpine skiing’s world championships in 2015, contending with resorts in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, and St. Moritz, Switzerland. All three bidders were candidates last year when the Austrian resort of Schladming was awarded the 2013 event.

Bolland gives ‘Hawks 3-2 lead on Canucks (AP)

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Roberto Luongo(notes) lays on the ice after Chicago Blackhawks Dave Bolland's(notes) game winning goal bounces out of the net in game 5 of the western conference semi-final at GM Place in Vancouver, Saturday, May 9, 2009.  The Blackhawks won the game 4-2.

With Chicago on a power play and the puck on Patrick Kane’s stick, David Bolland found a soft spot behind the Canucks defense and trusted the puck was coming. The hardest part was waiting for it. When the puck finally arrived, Bolland patiently gathered it and then snapped a shot past the stick of a diving Roberto Luongo and into an empty net.

Ducks’ Hiller looking to bounce back in Game 5

How Anaheim goalie Jonas Hiller responds on the road in Game 5 on Sunday, after his worst performance of the playoffs in Game 4, will go a long way towards cementing (or unravelling) his reputation as a bona fide No. 1 NHL goalie.

Rockets C Yao out for rest of postseason (AP)

Yao Ming will miss the rest of the playoffs because of a broken left foot. The Houston center limped off the court late in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 108-94 victory over the Rockets on Friday night. Yao missed Saturday’s practice to get treatment and the team said the 7-foot-6 All-Star would be re-evaluated on Sunday.

James’ 47 move Cavs to brink of sweep (AP)

Zaza Pachulia was ejected and Cleveland won 97-82.

LeBron James had that unstoppable feeling. Everyone get out of the way. Time for him to do something really special. As if being the league’s MVP wasn’t enough, James scored 47 points in his best performance yet of these playoffs, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to the brink of their second straight postseason sweep with a 97-82 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.
